Discover Your Path To Healing
Navigating life’s circumstances can be overwhelming, confusing, and at times painful. I believe that within each of us there is a resilient being, whom, given the right tools and experiences, can find connection, healing, and purpose.
My approach begins with seeking understanding by developing a thorough assessment and treatment plan. In the treatment portion of the therapeutic process, I strive to create experiences that provoke curiosity and exploration of life circumstances. Through this exploration, my hope is that we will be able to tap into that resilient being that seeks and cultivates a life of healing both inside and outside the therapy office. I acknowledge that healing is not linear. To accommodate for this, I often revisit the treatment plan to ensure needs are being met, and appropriate resources utilized to optimize your experience in therapy. It is my priority that you feel empowered and taken care of in the therapeutic process. Together, we can discover your path to healing.
My training includes earning an undergraduate degree from Weber State University in Social Work and Psychology, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah with a concentration in Forensic Social Work. Further work and involvement include specializing in substance abuse and intimate partner violence treatment in the forensic setting, overseeing a mental health team as a clinical manager at a private practice, being involved in the academic and professional development of trauma-informed-care for mental health professionals, and providing therapy services for individuals and couples since 2016.
I was born and raised in Utah. I enjoyed being involved in athletics and growing up in a large family. Early on in life, I was drawn to people’s stories - including their struggles. I was always fascinated by the human ability to continue going despite difficulties. This led me to pursue an education that allows me to hear individual’s stories, and have the privilege of walking the healing path with them. The creation of The Healing Space was inspired by the many stories of healing I have witnessed throughout the years, and my desire to continue to grow as a clinician. I enjoy running, writing, and spending time outdoors with my husband and daughter.
